  • We welcome Artist in Residence Do Art Productions to Kindred Public Schools.  Do Art Productions "aims to inspire creativity within everybody."  They support the idea that we are ALL born artists, and ALL of us have an unlimited amount of creativity harbored within us.   Jerry Moffitt is an artist, performer, and successful public speaker nationwide and Chet Roush is a writer and performance artist from Hampshire, IL who received a degree in Creative Writing from Loyola University Chicago, and specializes in writing, poetry, and digital artwork. Thank you to the Kindred Area Community Foundation for their generous grant this year supporting this Artist in Residence programming.
  • We welcome Artist in Residence Eric A. Johnson, Big Oak Press to Kindred High School.  Eric is an artist/printmaker and who set a goal in September 2012 of having Big Oak Press, his studio space and printmaking studio set up in a location other than his home!  He has met that goal over and above and will be joining us with Mr. Morin in the art room at the high school to talk to the students and demo printmaking.  Eric is a visual art and art history instructor at Minnesota State Community and Technical College (M-State) and joined us last year at the gala as well.
  • We welcome back Artist in Residence Derek Arnaud, Kindred Kustom Metal Fabrication to the Kindred High School ag room. We are excited to invite Derek to come into the classroom for a few days in March to teach TIG welding to the two welding classes!  Derek lives in Kindred and opened his own shop in 2016 filled with vintage machinery and tools to tackle any sort of metal, welding, or machining project.  He started his career in Kindred in 2009 restoring and rebuilding parts for WWII aircraft such as P-51 Mustangs and F4U Corsairs repairing any salvageable parts and scratch building the rest.  Thank you to the Kindred FFA Alumni for partnering on this endeavor with us.

  • Enjoy visiting with local chefs and tasting their delicious creations.  We continue with our "Food as Art" theme as we celebrate our agricultural roots in this community in regards to the food we eat.  We are honored to have a  variety of area chefs join us to feature their culinary specialty, many using use locally sourced ingredients to honor our community's agricultural roots at the arts table.

  • Visit with and support local artists, many who will be doing a live demo at the event and some will be selling their products!

  • Kindred's guitar guro Steve Stine who teaches lessons to youth and adults in the community
