KINDRED MURAL 2025
The Kindred Community Mural is installed and ready for years of enjoyment! Artist Eric A. Johnson surveyed the community and came up with a design that honors the past and shows the future of our city is as big as the endless blue sky!
A plaque will be mounted on the building with a QR code helping people learn about the mural and what each image represents along with the names of our Business Sponsors and their history/story preserved in this mural for our town.
Thank you to all for your support of this exciting creation and installation of community artwork on Elm Street in Kindred.

Artist Eric A. Johnson

Eric A. Johnson is a local printmaker who has shared the art of printmaking with KHS students as an Artist in Residence. Originally from Embden, Johnson took his first art class in college, which sparked his interest. He ultimately found printmaking to be his true passion. He now has a Master of Fine Arts degree from UND, is an adjunct instructor at Minnesota State Community and Technical College, serves as President of the Fargo Moorhead Visual Artists, and runs his printmaking studio, Big Oak Press, near his Hillsboro home.
Eric will lead the charge on the planning, painting and installation of the Kindred Community Mural, mentored by Greta McLain, GoodSpace Murals.
