Chalkfest '21 will be Thursday, May 13th from 11:30-3:05 PM.
Students in grades 6-12 will enjoy an afternoon of yearbook signing, a chalk art competition, music, karaoke, and games! Students in grades K-5 will have the opportunity to attend a “Chalk-Walk” to preview the show from 2-3 PM.
We will not be hosting our normal after-hours community event this year, but everyone is invited to view the students’ work during a special “Community Chalk-Walk” from 5-6 PM. The first 60 kids will be eligible to receive a free chalk art set courtesy of the Kindred Area Arts Partnership. Stephanie from Morning Glory will have delicious cookies and chocolates available for purchase during this time.
Art & Dessert Kindred’s Annual Fine Arts Night, Art & Dessert, will be Sunday, May 16th from 4-6 PM. This event will feature performances by the Kindred High School speech team, theater and music departments, and an art display by Kindred students as well as feature local artist Amanda Hagen. Come for a late afternoon of art, performances, awards, and desserts!
