Gold Key/North Dakota American Voices Nominee: Ty Roesler
The 2021 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are presented by the Plains Art Museum and the Red River Valley Writing Project at NDSU. These students in Kindred High School teacher Tanya Neumiller's class were winners in this years competition.
American Voices nominees like Ty Roesler are "Best in Show awards that most exemplify originality, technical skill, and the emergence of a personal voice & vision." These nominees are put into a second contest where one writer and one artist are chosen from each Region to receive an America Voices Medal.
There will be an awards ceremony to honor these students at the Plains Art Museum on Saturday, March 5 from 5:30 - 8 p.m. There is also a book that is published featuring all students writing and available at the event. More info here.
