Local Hillsboro artist Bergit Abentroth, age 9, is making custom mask chains to help save the turtles in Marathon, Florida!
After a recent visit to The Turtle Hospital in Marathon Florida, Bergit was inspired to do more to help save the sea turtles and keep our environment clean. She is using her artistic talents to craft mask chains, where a portion of the proceeds will be donated back to the hospital to pay for a turtle's food, medicine and care.
