Kindred schools had a treat today as musician and author Jessie Veeder spent the day with students as a part of the Artist in Residence program through the Kindred Area Arts Partnership!
Jessie sang and read her new book "Prairie Princess" to k-6 students and did a storytelling workshop with grades k-2 in their music classrooms.
Jessie also did two high school workshops today in Mrs. Neumiller and Mrs. Zens' English classrooms about her career path in the arts and how she is serving the community that she was raised in and is now raising her family.
Jessie will be at the Kindred Public Library from 11-12 noon for a book talk about her new children's book and then will be at the KAAP gala fundraising event starting at 6:30 p.m. at The Pines tomorrow night! Get your tickets at kindredKAAP.org.
